Weekly Update August 17, 2021

August 17, 2021

Welcome to this week’s update at Lamgo Farms! I’m happy you’ve dropped by to see just what is happening with our family, farm and fluffy doodles!

It’s been raining pretty much all evening which has blended nicely with the two crock pots of stew brewing all afternoon. The aroma added just a touch of torture while we waited for it to cook. With the air conditioning on high and the dark thunderstorm clouds pouring sheets of rain- it certainly felt a little like fall.

If you’ve been following me for any time, then you know I’m a cooler weather kind of gal. And I think it rubs off on the dogs. They prefer the cooler temps too. Give them a snowy day and you have one happy dood!

Things have been moving right along at the farm this week. We’ve been moving fencing, creating more puppy yards for our nursing mamas and babies too young to be fully vaccinated to be outside to safely enjoy more grassy areas.

Farming is a constant so when we get the time and breaks in puppy training, then we move on to upkeep and improvements.

We will be moving our new born nursery into a new cottage while we hope to eventually move back to in person puppy picking appointments in our Puppy visitation and training building.

Although I do not anticipate in person pickings until after the first of the year, we do need to start on this now to be ready in time.

I’m excited to get our newest inventory for our Pet Supply Store on the shelves and Online to offer more packages for new puppy owners to be able to get everything needed to enjoy those first weeks at home with baby.

I’m amazed at the number of messages and emails I receive from people getting Doodles from other breeders who are sent home with a gallon or sometimes a sandwich size zip lock baggie of puppy food and maybe a signed paper or folder to go.

That’s it!

Yet the pricing of these doodles are the same or higher than our pricing. To invest so much financially, emotionally and to invest so much time and energy into bringing home your newest member of the family and then to only receive a little bag of food makes me cringe.

Yes, you can go online and research puppy supplies. . .but wouldn’t it be nice to just choose a package and get everything in one nice box with everything you need?

For some owners, that is a huge load off and a relief. We’re excited to be gathering all of our items on our supply list to offer extended packages for not only our owners but other puppy owners to benefit as well!

I can’t wait to share it all with you!

We are constantly trying to increase our puppy packet contents too. I’m working with our supplier to get our Snuggle Puppy added to our puppy packet for our 2022 season.

The Snuggle Puppy is a MUST when bringing home your puppy!

Something new to our current puppies on the ground right now. . .Puppy Insurance!

Yes, we are excited to now be sending our puppies home with a free 30 days of complete insurance coverage for our puppies for any accidents or illnesses that may occur within the first 30 days after going home. Unlike purchasing pet insurance on your own, this allows full coverage from the moment you pick up puppy without any wait period.

You’ll be able to continue this policy before the 30 days are up or you can just walk away. At least you get that 30 days of security!

Right now this is what we offer in our Puppy Packet:

  • 10 lb bucket of premium puppy food with scoop
  • Crate (plastic travel crate puppy has been crate training in- will be used up to 3 weeks after going home.
  • Scented blanket from littermates
  • Travel bowl
  • Leather collar
  • Nylon Leash
  • Night light for collar
  • Treats
  • Toys
  • Nutritional Supplement for the first weeks home
  • Poochie Pets Potty Training Bells
  • 30 Days Pet Insurance
  • Beginning Crate Training
  • Life time of support

Can YOU think of anything that you would want added to this packet? I’d love to hear from our owners and followers to see what you would add to help you adjust to those first days home!

Ok, now let’s scroll on down to see all of the exciting new NEWS in each of our litters. . .

Rosita/Paddington F2bb smaller Mini Goldendoodles

(Reds and Peanut butter colors)

Rosita delivered 5 girls and 1 boy on July 11th. This litter will be going home Saturday, September 4th (Labor Day Weekend). Our selection process will be Aug 21st.

What’s Happening Now:

Look at this time just flying by! We are already at puppy picking week! Temperament testing is happening tomorrow! The results will be emailed super late on Wednesday or maybe early Thursday if I fall asleep at the computer again. Yep, that’s happening lately. LOL!

The puppies are getting towards the end of the weaning process. Rosita will be moving out of the nursery this weekend. She has been enjoying getting back to the house to eating dropped food off the floor and constant belly rubs.

The babies are doing awesome! They have been doing so well with their potty training. They are using their potty pads inside at one end of the room and then sleeping on their beds at the other end. This is awesome!

I’ll be sending out a puppy picking reminder on Wednesday along with your temperament testing. New video and pictures will also be uploaded. Video will be uploaded onto our Youtube Channel “Happenings at Lamgo Farms.” Pictures will be uploaded to our Facebook page.

What Happens Next:

Week 6: Puppy picking- 8/21/21

Week 6: Intro to crate training. The puppies will be paired with a littermate “buddy” in their crate. This will help them get use to the crate without being traumatized.

Week 7: The puppies will be moved to their crates alone so they can get use to them alone and we can weed out any puppies having a difficult time crate training.

CD / Paddington

F2 Mini Goldendoodles

CD delivered 2 girls and 6 boys on July 13, 2021. All are appearing red right now. One male is a little lighter than the others. One female appears to have a little more curl but otherwise they are all wavy. I’ll know more about coat textures in a few days.

For those on this picking list- if you are wanting a female- you’ll need to be one of the first 2 picks. Those after need to be open to either gender.

This litter will be ready to go home Saturday, Sept 11. Our selection process will be on August 28. (Please note last week I messed up on the pick up date.)

What’s Happening Now?

Look at these babies!!! They are beyond adorable and just so very sweet! I love how they just come right on up to me even when in with mama. That just goes to show us how sweet and personable they are going to be.

They are really enjoying playing with my little’s ( ages 5 ,4 and 2) and are doing really well with their potty training so far.

Sometime this week you will all be receiving your directions to the farm (if you are picking up your puppy) as well as your puppy picking instructions. Puppy picking for this litter is next Saturday. IF we can- I’d like to have the first handful of picks doing on Friday since we are picking via video that will be posted on Wednesday- we should be able to get the first 3 or 4 picks done on Friday so we can allow the final 4 to review the puppies remaining in order to make their choices on Saturday.

New video and pictures will be uploaded to our Facebook page and Youtube channel on the Wednesday prior to picking.

Temperament testing will also be done on Wednesday prior to picking to help you with your choises.

What Happens Next:

Week 5: Temperament testing will be conducted and results will be emailed at week 6.

Charmin/Paddington

F3 Mini Goldendoodles

Litter Reserved (wait list available as we have several double listed)

Charmin has completed the breeding process. Charmin’s prenatal ultrasound showed us sacs but we were a little too early to see babies. WE will reschedule to make sure we see babies with beating hearts for confirmation. Hang in there! Our Vet has tested positive for Covid so right now we have to wait a tad longer for our next ultrasound schedule.

Charmin is the daughter of our famous duo Duke and Daphne. She is an F2b Mini Goldendoodle. The sire of this litter is Paddington Bear. He is the son of our other famous duo, Mrs. Beasley and Mr. Bean. The F3 gives us those beautiful wavy coats without the shedding. In her last litter she did have a few curly but the coats are a soft cotton texture. The coloring is a blond/apricot, peanut butter color or a light red. Some an have white markings. These puppies mature between 20-30 lbs.

Lina/Samson

F2bb Medium Goldendoodles

As Lina’s final litter, we will be mixing her with our Samson to create another one of our most loved generations, the F2bb.

This is another litter with our wonderful English lines from our White English Creme Retriever, Bison who has Denmark lines.

Lina is a white standard Poodle and Samson is a red English Mini Goldendoodle. Colors are expected to be all shades of red and cream. The F2bb generation typically gives us more wavy coats, however, we do often get some curly in the mix as well.

Samson is one of our Bella/Paddington puppies we kept back. He has a small patch of white on his chest so it will be interesting to see if that passes on to his puppies. Bella is one of our Brie and Bison babies. Brie is a Moyen fading red poodle.

So once again we have puppies coming from some great long proven beautiful lines.

I have moved a few of our owners from our Snowflake list that did not give us the puppies needed for our owners. This does not mean you are dedicated to this litter- I just wanted to hold a spot before they fill up.

Lina has completed the breeding process. We will now wait 2 weeks to confirm pregnancy via ultrasound.

This is a first time breeding with Lina and Samson. Lina was mixed with our Paddington once before who looks very similar to Samson (same color, coat and size) but Samson is from the English line. I’ll try to round up some pictures for reference.

F1 Moyen Sheepadoodles

Poppins and Banks have completed the breeding process. We will wait 3 weeks to confirm pregnancy.

These puppies are a little smaller than our standards, although we have had a few larger ones in past litters. They mature between 45-55 lbs. The coloring is black and white with wavy non shedding coats.

I have started a list but please let me know if I’ve missed anyone. Deposits will not be accepted until pregnancy is confirmed.

FAQ:

What breedings to you have coming up? Please scroll back Up for current and upcoming litters (scroll down for more future litters) to the “Next Season’s Breeding Schedule” to see what will be bred and what picking spots are open.

To be placed on our generic list (for instance- red mini’s or cream petites) simply send me an email to info@LamgoFarms.com with your preferences, email address and name and I will put you on our master list. Once we have our line up for that preference- I will place your name on the list. Once breeding begins- we will request your deposit.

How do I know if you have any open picking spots in a particular litter? Scroll until you see your desired litter.  Any available picking spots will be listed as “open.”

How do I reserve a picking spot?  Please send me an email to Info@LamgoFarms.com outlining your preferences such as size, color, coat type (wavy vs curly), gender, and any special circumstances I need to be made aware of for your situation.

I’ll need your name, email address and phone number. Once you are ready, you can make your deposit payment by choosing the PUPPY DEPOSIT button below.

Are Deposits refundable?  Unfortunately, due to the high demand of our puppies, we no longer refund deposits for any reason.  If for some reason we do not have enough puppies born to provide for every owner- your deposit can be transferred to your next desired litter.  The $250 is a picking spot reservation.  This also helps us weed out those who are not serious about taking home one of our puppies.

Do you have any paperwork we need to complete? Since our puppies are Reserved almost a year in advance- we will spend that time getting to know each of you and will be offering the proper education to make sure you are fully prepared to bring home your puppy.  When placing a deposit, please include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number and any preferences you may have.  Once you place your deposit, I will email you your purchase contract which also serves as your receipt.  You will need to sign and email this back to me. You will also receive a suggested supply list as well as our Health Warranty.  The Health Warranty is not due back until 30 days after you take your puppy home.

Do you choose the puppy for us or can we choose our own puppy?  *** COVID-19: All pickings will be conducted virtually at this time. You will be asked to visit the Farm at your puppy picking appointment and will be given an hour to choose your puppy.  The choice is yours.  Please understand that we cannot guarantee gender availability.  When it comes to our donated therapy/service dogs, we will choose the top two for you and then you can make your choice out of those.

Can we visit Lamgo Farms for allergy testing or just to see the dogs?   *** COVID-19: All pickings will be conducted virtually at this time. Every puppy owner that has placed a deposit is invited to the farm between weeks 5 and 6 for a puppy picking appointment.  If unable to attend- we can send extra video and pictures or FaceTime the appointment.  Unfortunately- we do not allow other visitors due to the health risk for our puppies and dogs as well as for the safety of our family.  If you wish to have allergy testing- it’s best to find a doodle owner and see if you can tolerate that particular generation of doodle.  We have several pictures, video as well as slide shows showing our grounds, parents and past puppies.  You may also visit our Facebook page and join our open forum to communicate with any of our past owners about their experience with Lamgo Farms.  We welcome your questions!

Do you do temperament testing?  Yes, all puppies are tested at week 5 and the results are emailed prior to your puppy picking appointment.

Do you take weekly pictures of your puppies?  Yes, The first week is simply a group photo but individual pictures are taken weekly starting at week 2.  Video is taken weekly starting at week 3 and concludes at week 7.

Are your puppies socialized?  Yes!  We now have 8 children.  Ages 25, 20, 19, 17, 12, 5, 4 and 2 yrs old.  We homeschool and are able to hold, socialize using sensory stimulation as well as play with and cuddle your puppy several times a day which prepares them for any home environment.

When do the puppies come home?  Puppies are ready to go home on the Saturday between weeks 7 and 8.

Do you have a Health Warranty?  Yes, Lamgo Farms has a 1 year warranty over hips and eyes.

Do you Health Test your Breeding dogs?  Some are OFA tested but not all.  After consulting an Animal Orthopedic doctor- we learned that these tests do not offer the assurance that puppies will not have hip issues.  A good line of breeding stock along with cross breeding and proper care of the puppy will protect and prevent hip issues.

Do you allow boarding after the release date of the puppy?  Unfortunately, we are unable to keep your puppy past the pick up date.  You will be notified within 24 hours after the birth as to your picking appointment time as well as puppy pick up date/time/information.  This will allow you at least 7 weeks to make pick up arrangements.  Pick up is on a Saturday a 10 am.  We do sometimes offer a Friday pick up by appointment.  Lamgo Farms is closed on Sundays and cannot do picking appointments or pick up appointments at that time.

Do you fly puppies out of state?  At this time, we only fly pet cargo during the months of November through May.  Our summer months are too hot to fly.  Flying is an additional $450.  We use both Flight Nannies (for dogs that stand no taller than 11 inches) and pet cargo flights.  We can fly during the off season with Flight Nannies only.

What is included in the price of the puppy?  An awesome Lamgo Farms PUPPY. . . complete puppy packet:  First set of shots, Crate, potty training bells, nutritional supplement, toys, treats, scented blanket from littermates, training material, folder with health records, Vet check prior to going home, pedigree, etc, emailed photo collage of your puppy as well as a 10 lb bucket of premium puppy food that will last a few months.

What is your pricing? Sales Tax has now been added to the price. Sales tax is an additional 6.25%. ($131.00) For those who have already placed your deposits, tax is included in your purchase price.

All puppies are priced at $2100 plus sales tax which is $131.25 for a total of $2,231. The Deposit does go towards the balance.

Do you offer discounts: Yes, we offer a $150 discount for our Military owners.  Verification of service is required.  Once a year we also offer donation dogs for those medically requiring therapy or service dogs.  Please email me your circumstance and we will pray and ask God for the answer.  We have a medical form that needs to be completed by a doctor to qualify for service needs.

Do you have a Spay/Neuter clause?  Yes.  All of our puppies are sold with our contract stating all males must be neutered before 5 months old and females must be spayed before 6 months old.  We no longer sell for breeding purposes. Breeding a Lamgo Farms’ puppy will result in a fine. We are pro-breeding and we support many other breeders, we just do not sell for that purpose especially for those who intend to breed for hobby of for just the experience of having a litter. Puppies not fixed by the requested time frames will void the Health Warranty.

What sets Lamgo Farms apart from other Goldendoodle breeders?  First, having 17 years experience in breeding Goldendoodles- we have learned quite a bit about what to breed to create the perfect doodle for every coat type and personality desired as well as our dedication to each litter.  Living on a farm and homeschooling allows us to constantly lay hands on the puppies and give them the ultimate care they need and you desire in a breeder.  We care greatly for our puppies, mom and daddy dogs and owners and strive to give that personal touch to every one and puppy that comes our way.  We also trust God to give us the perfect puppy you desire.  We pray over every breeding and puppy and are genuinely blessed with the ability to raise these fluffy friends.

Pictures and Video:  When we do have puppies. . .Pictures will be uploaded on our Facebook page.  Video will be located on our Youtube channel at Happenings at lamgo Farms.  Weekly pictures will start at week 2 and Video will start to be taken when puppies are three weeks old.
