Weekly Update March 29, 2021

March 29, 2021

Welcome to Monday on the Farm! I’m so excited you’ve made your way here to see just what is happening with our Farm, Family and our Furry Friends. Today we are celebrating our son, Matthew’s 19th birthday!!! Guys, the days are long but the years are incredibly short.

You’ll all notice I’ve made a few changes regarding the weekly update. Because our current litters were born over a weekend, I’m changing the update to be posted on Mondays. Yay! Hopefully this will keep me on time and therefore keep you all up to date with just what we have available with our litters.

I’m posting weekly videos on Fridays on our Youtube channel, “Happenings at Lamgo Farms.” Pictures are updated on Fridays on our Facebook page. Of course, both pictures and video are also below in each section. You’ll just see them earlier when subscribed to our Youtube channel and by following us on Facebook.

Some of you may have noticed that at this time I have temporarily disabled messaging on our Instagram Page for Lamgo Farms. My super sweet friend/puppy owner who was going to manage my IG accounts has actually opened a clothing line and is no longer able to dedicate the time to working on our social media. So. . .it is just me and instead of appearing to ignore everyone, I’m just turning the messaging off for the time being.

I can’t mention this sweet friend without mentioning her new store, RHAE. Check it out! I’ve actually had the opportunity to order a few dresses and jackets for myself and my teenage daughters. LOVE them!

I do hate that I cannot always dedicate the proper time to answering messages, texts and email like I did in the past. But I do appreciate everyone for being so very patient and understanding during this particular season of my life.

This season. . .maybe I should just take a few paragraphs to explain our current season of life so you can get a better picture of this circus in a zoo. Well, maybe just a paragraph so I don’t lose too many of you reading here.

Over the past five years we have added three babies, a store, my mom, illness, back injuries and I wrote a book. Since I am still homeschooling- my online and phone time are extremely limited. And while I use to master multitasking- I now operate poorly on little sleep and I admit that many times I do drop a few things in the process.

If you have sent over a deposit or an email requesting to be placed on a list and DO NOT see your name. . .please do not hesitate to text me at 817-366-7995. I will never take offense to your sending a reminder or even a “hey Lady, where’s my name?” Ok, I would probably feel bad that I missed you somehow but I do appreciate your helping me out when I forget somthing.

I also appreciate those who understand the demands of raising puppies and children with special needs. It’s a 24/7 without a break right now. I will continue to do my best in replying to everyone as I schedule out time for work.

Of course, family and the puppies will always come first so that our babies here get the best of me and our puppies we send home are never compromised by the new busy on my hands. The quality we send home is always priority.

Ok, hopefully I’ve been able to maintain your attention up to this point. Right now we have 2 litters on the ground and another 2 due soon! Although our litters are mostly all reserved, I am keeping a master wait list for litters not yet announced that will be coming up in the Fall 2021 and Winter 2022. I will announce our Winter line up in a few months.

For those asking, our current wait time for a mini, petite or medium Goldendoodle or Double Doodle is about 10 months. Our Pocket litters are now about 14 months if not yet on a list.

Now, let’s move on down to see just what is happening in each of your litters this week. . .

Here is what we have now

and what is coming up soon.

Scroll down to the FAQ section to see how to place a deposit, pricing, how to reserve a puppy and to answer many questions.

 Litters Going Home in 2021

Sanjay F1bb Pocket/Petite Goldendoodle

Litter Reserved

Sanjay delivered 2 girls and 4 boys March 7th. All are shades of red and doing wonderful!

We expect both a pocket range of 10-15 lbs and petite range of 16-18 lbs. (Cream, Apricot, and red coloring in both curly and wavy coats. The majority are curly).

What’s Happening Now:

Look at these babies! They are 3 weeks old now and are starting to crawl around instead of just scoot. I’m already starting to see those individual personalities show through. Each one of these babies is chunky even though they are little. I am loving this litter. This week they will be introduced to their first food, gruel. This is a combination of our premium puppy food, nutritional supplement, puppy milk replacer and warm water all blended to an oatmeal consistency. They LOVE it!

The gruel is the first step in our weaning process. We start gruel for added nutritional support for the puppies all while giving Sanjay a break to support her health as well. Once puppies’ teeth start to break through we will add hard kibble to their meal. Even though these babies will be small when going home, they will be fully on hard kibble. No need to soften or wet down their food.

What Happens Next:

Week 4: Emails with directions and picking instructions. Another round of preventative deworming will be given. Puppies will begin playing with each other and toys.

Week 5: Temperament testing

Week 6: Puppy picking, Reading material will be emailed. Invoices will be emailed.

Due to the weather we had to postpone Maybelline’s ultrasound. It is scheduled for Monday. I’ll keep you posted as soon as we have answers. If breeding was successful, she would be due around March 22nd which would give us puppies going home the middle of May.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Ethel, our Mini Double Doodle (Maybelline’s daughter) is currently in the breeding process. Ethel and our Red Toy poodle, Beans have been paired together to give us Petite F1b Double Doodles!! We expect reds, maybe apricot and possible black. I’ll post pictures next week.

Poppins delivered 3 girls and 4 boys on Saturday, March 20th. All are doing great! The vet will be coming over on Wednesday to remove dew claws.

What’s Happening Now:

Right now eyes and ears are closed and they use their sense of smell to locate mama to nurse. We will see those first sets of eyes open up around 14 days old. They spend their days sleeping and nursing right now. They scoot around to get to mama and cuddle up next to each other.

What Happens Next:

I will begin taking individual pictures as soon as all eyes are open. Week 3 I will post their first video on our Youtube channel, “Happenings at Lamgo Farms.” You will want to subscribe to this channel for your duration of waiting for your puppy to come home. Turn on the notifications to be updated when new video is posted. Right now I’ll be uploading video on Fridays prior to this update. Pictures will be uploaded to our Facebook page first and then noted here.

Emerald / Paddington

F2bb Mini Goldendoodles

Litter Reserved with a waitlist

Emerald’s pregnancy has been confirmed. She is due April 2nd. Her belly is growing and she occasionally has morning sickness but is still very active and doing well.

Emerald is the daughter of Cheyenne and Duke. Cheyenne is a red and Duke is white. Puppies will have both curly and wavy coats much like our Famous Duke/Daphne F2b past litters. These will mature around 25-35 lbs. Colors will be like our Charmin or Sammy match ups. They will be cream, apricot and a peanut butter color.

This is a first time breeding so we do not have past puppy pictures for this litter, but because we have been breeding these lines for some time and have been matching these colors and coat types, we have a great idea what they will look like.

Below are pictures of some of Sammy and Charmin’s puppies (both Sammy and Charmin are Duke puppies as well and resemble Emerald) for reference.

We also do not have a past litter size to indicate how many picking spots we can reserve, therefore, we will open up 6 spots and then hold a wait list to be on the safe side. Deposits will be accepted once pregnancy is confirmed.

These puppies mature between 20-30 lbs. This breeding is scheduled for August 2021 which would give us puppies going home in December 2021. Charmin delivered 9 puppies in her last litter. As you can see, we normally have the same schedule each year. Our dogs typically breed every other cycle. However, sometimes cycles run early or late so this can alter our schedule. Occasionally we will do a back to back breeding and then rest our mama a little longer. It all depends on our mama’s, their health, and our schedule.

The end of our 2021 season will consist of another Jasmine Petite red litter (first 3 spots reserved) Whitzel, Ethel mini Double doodle litter, Ruby English Sheepie Doodle litter ( L. Mills) and another Parker Pocket litter 2021(all picking spots reserved. Parker was suppose to cycle at the end of January. At this time we are just waiting. If she had a missed cycle then the next one would be in June. Unfortunately Parker’s cycles are not the same length as our larger doodles, therefore we will watch her carefully between now and June. We have reserved the first spot in her 2021/22 breeding as well.)

FAQ:

What breedings to you have coming up? Please scroll back Up for current and upcoming litters (scroll down for more future litters) to the “Next Season’s Breeding Schedule” to see what will be bred and what picking spots are open.

How do I know if you have any open picking spots in a particular litter? Scroll until you see your desired litter.  Any available picking spots will be listed as “open.”

How do I reserve a picking spot? Complete the contact form located at the end of each litter.  Then make your deposit payment by choosing the PUPPY DEPOSIT button under the litter in which you wish to reserve your picking spot.  For litters not yet listed please Email me at goldendoodles@lamgofarms.com with “deposit” in the subject line.  Note which litter and number on the picking spot you prefer that is listed as open. Include your name, mailing address, phone number and any preferences you may have for your puppy.

Are Deposits refundable?  Unfortunately, due to the high demand of our puppies, we no longer refund deposits for any reason.  If for some reason we do not have enough puppies born to provide for every owner- your deposit can be transferred to your next desired litter.  The $250 is a picking spot reservation.  This also helps us weed out those who are not serious about taking home one of our puppies.

Do you have any paperwork we need to complete? Since our puppies are Reserved almost a year in advance- we will spend that time getting to know each of you and will be offering the proper education to make sure you are fully prepared to bring home your puppy.  When placing a deposit, please include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number and any preferences you may have.  Once you place your deposit, I will email you your purchase contract which also serves as your receipt.  You will need to sign and email this back to me. You will also receive a suggested supply list as well as our Health Warranty.  The Health Warranty is not due back until 30 days after you take your puppy home.

Do you choose the puppy for us or can we choose our own puppy?  *** COVID-19: All pickings will be conducted virtually at this time. You will be asked to visit the Farm at your puppy picking appointment and will be given an hour to choose your puppy.  The choice is yours.  Please understand that we cannot guarantee gender availability.  When it comes to our donated therapy/service dogs, we will choose the top two for you and then you can make your choice out of those.

Can we visit Lamgo Farms for allergy testing or just to see the dogs?   *** COVID-19: All pickings will be conducted virtually at this time. Every puppy owner that has placed a deposit is invited to the farm between weeks 5 and 6 for a puppy picking appointment.  If unable to attend- we can send extra video and pictures or FaceTime the appointment.  Unfortunately- we do not allow other visitors due to the health risk for our puppies and dogs as well as for the safety of our family.  If you wish to have allergy testing- it’s best to find a doodle owner and see if you can tolerate that particular generation of doodle.  We have several pictures, video as well as slide shows showing our grounds, parents and past puppies.  You may also visit our Facebook page and join our open forum to communicate with any of our past owners about their experience with Lamgo Farms.  We welcome your questions!

Do you do temperament testing?  Yes, all puppies are tested at week 5 and the results are emailed prior to your puppy picking appointment.

Do you take weekly pictures of your puppies?  Yes, The first week is simply a group photo but individual pictures are taken weekly starting at week 2.  Video is taken weekly starting at week 3 and concludes at week 7.

Are your puppies socialized?  Yes!  We now have 8 children.  Ages 24, 20, 18, 16, 12, 4, 3 and 2 yrs old.  We homeschool and are able to hold, socialize using sensory stimulation as well as play with and cuddle your puppy several times a day which prepares them for any home environment.

When do the puppies come home?  Puppies are ready to go home on the Saturday between weeks 7 and 8.

Do you have a Health Warranty?  Yes, Lamgo Farms has a 1 year warranty over hips and eyes.

Do you Health Test your Breeding dogs?  Some are OFA tested but not all.  After consulting an Animal Orthopedic doctor- we learned that these tests do not offer the assurance that puppies will not have hip issues.  A good line of breeding stock along with cross breeding and proper care of the puppy will protect and prevent hip issues.

Do you allow boarding after the release date of the puppy?  Unfortunately, we are unable to keep your puppy past the pick up date.  You will be notified within 24 hours after the birth as to your picking appointment time as well as puppy pick up date/time/information.  This will allow you at least 7 weeks to make pick up arrangements.  Pick up is on a Saturday a 10 am.  We do sometimes offer a Friday pick up by appointment.  Lamgo Farms is closed on Sundays and cannot do picking appointments or pick up appointments at that time.

Do you fly puppies out of state?  At this time, we only fly pet cargo during the months of November through May.  Our summer months are too hot to fly.  Flying is an additional $450.  We use both Flight Nannies (for dogs that stand no taller than 11 inches) and pet cargo flights.  We can fly during the off season with Flight Nannies only.

What is included in the price of the puppy?  An awesome Lamgo Farms PUPPY. . . complete puppy packet:  First set of shots, Crate, potty training bells, nutritional supplement, toys, treats, scented blanket from littermates, training material, folder with health records, Vet check prior to going home, pedigree, etc, emailed photo collage of your puppy as well as a 10 lb bucket of premium puppy food that will last a few months.

What is your pricing? Sales Tax is included in the price.

WE will be having a price increase after January 1, 2021. Those already on a 2021 list will be able to have 2020 pricing.

Double Doodles (mini Labradoodle/mini goldendoodle cross): $2,100

Labradoodles (Petite): $2,100

Goldendoodles (Standard, Medium and miniature): $2,100

Goldendoodles (Petite): $2,100 (Starting 1/1/2021- $2300)

Goldendoodles (Pocket): $2,500

Sheepadoodles (Standard): $2,100

Do you offer discounts: Yes, we offer a $150 discount for our Military owners.  Verification of service is required.  Once a year we also offer donation dogs for those medically requiring therapy or service dogs.  Please email me your circumstance and we will pray and ask God for the answer.  We have a medical form that needs to be completed by a doctor to qualify for service needs.

Do you have a Spay/Neuter clause?  Yes.  All of our puppies are sold with our contract stating all males must be neutered before 5 months old and females must be spayed before 6 months old.  We no longer sell for breeding purposes. Breeding a Lamgo Farms’ puppy will result in a fine. We are pro-breeding and we support many other breeders, we just do not sell for that purpose especially for those who intend to breed for hobby of for just the experience of having a litter. Puppies not fixed by the requested time frames will void the Health Warranty.

What sets Lamgo Farms apart from other Goldendoodle breeders?  First, having 17 years experience in breeding Goldendoodles- we have learned quite a bit about what to breed to create the perfect doodle for every coat type and personality desired as well as our dedication to each litter.  Living on a farm and homeschooling allows us to constantly lay hands on the puppies and give them the ultimate care they need and you desire in a breeder.  We care greatly for our puppies, mom and daddy dogs and owners and strive to give that personal touch to every one and puppy that comes our way.  We also trust God to give us the perfect puppy you desire.  We pray over every breeding and puppy and are genuinely blessed with the ability to raise these fluffy friends.

Pictures and Video:  When we do have puppies. . .Pictures will be uploaded on our Facebook page.  Video will be located on our Youtube channel at Happenings at lamgo Farms.  Weekly pictures will start at week 2 and Video will start to be taken when puppies are three weeks old.
